Heads or Tails

Heads Or Tails Homepage

Tolosa, Leyte

Today’s theme is about sharing a special memory … and I am sharing this shot, which I took when we visited my mother’s hometown. When we were young we used to visit this place every summer, with my parents taking leave from their office works and us spending about half a month here.

But now that most of us are living with our own families and quite far from the island (Leyte, Philippines), visiting my mom’s hometown doesn’t happen every summer anymore. Here’s a 360 degrees view of the beach … not much, but we had such wonderful times there!

It was quite windy and cloudy when these fishermen were preparing to go fishing …

 It is wonderful to have those memories. I know neither my mom’s or my dad’s hometowns look anything like they did when they were growing up, so it is almost sad to go visit now. Even the town I grew up in and still live in changes yearly. Cherish the memories, and thank you for sharing such a great picture & memory for HorT this week. Hope you will pop in to visit mine.

That is so funny you post this. I was just thinking about similiar things in my life and how different life is for my own children. It is nice to go back but my daughter always protest about my yesteryear stories. Someday she will understand.

I am glad you liked my post at Penny Lane and thanks for stopping by.

That’s so beautiful, but for the people who live there life won’t be as easy, I think.
